Tuesday 07 April 2015 at 11:29 pm.

"Math Made Easy" is a series of workbooks for the elementary school student. They have 6 books, one for each grade from Kindergarten to the 5th grade. These workbooks are great to use over the summer as they compile everything from your previous grade into practice problems and reviews skills they learned in school.

These are their math objectives that each grade workbook focuses on.

5th Grade
  • Provides practice at all the major topics for Grade 5 with emphasis on addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals
  • Includes a review of Grade 4 topics
  • Includes Time Tables practice
4th Grade
  • Provides practice at all the major topics for Grade 4 with emphasis on multiplication and division of larger numbers
  • Includes a review of Grade 3 topics and a preview of topics in Grade 5
  • Includes Times Tables practice
3rd Grade
  • Provides practice at all the major topics for Grade 3 with emphasis on basic multiplication and division facts
  • Includes a review of Grade 2 topics and a preview of topics in Grade 4
  • INcludes TImes Tables practice
2nd Grade
  • Provides practice at all the major topics for Grade 2 with emphasis on addition and subtraction of larger numbers
  • Includes a review of Grade 1 topics and a preview of topics in Grade 3
  • Includes Times Tables practice
1st Grade
  • Provides practice at all the major topics for Grade 1 with emphasis on addition and subtraction concepts
  • Includes a review of Kindergarten topics and a preview of topics in Grade 2
Kindergarten
  • Focused on the number and shape objectives needed to prepare children for the formal study of math

In their 4th Grade Workbook, for example, it starts with times tables practice. It then goes through different "units" and picks skills from your 4th grade year. It includes a review of 3rd and 4th grade and a preview of 5th grade.

Many of my students use these workbooks, and they are perfect for tutoring lessons over the summer. Every few pages introduce new topics which we go into depth to throughout the lessons, and it includes answers and parental notes in the back so you can work on them at home too.

This is a great workbook anytime your needing math practice, expecially over the summer, and one of my favorites to recommend to students.
